REPRESENTATIVE LUIS GUTIERREZ TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY LEADERS AT THE 2010 NCLR NATIONAL LATINO ADVOCACY DAYSCommunity Leaders Will Be Available for Comment (See Below) Washington, DC—Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) will join Senator Robert Menendez (D–NJ) to address leaders from more than 100 community-based organizations from 30 states and the District of Columbia at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 4 at the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church, 201 4th Street, SE, as part of the 2010 NCLR National Latino Advocacy Days. On March 3–4, NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, will convene Latino leaders from throughout the country on Capitol Hill to urge their congressional representatives to support real economic recovery by passing comprehensive immigration reform. Community leaders will educate their members of Congress about how immigration reform will support recovery for all Americans by enhancing tax revenue and economic growth and improving conditions in the workforce.
