New Report to Analyze the Role of Latino Voters in 2010 Elections

40 Competitive Races in 12 States Could Hinge on Latino Voter Turnout

Washington, DC – This Monday at 11 AM at 2456 Rayburn, experts on Latino voters and politics will discuss a new report from America’s Voice that analyzes how Latino voters will impact the 2010 elections.

The Power of the Latino Voter in America provides a wealth of statistical information on Latino voters, including breakdowns by state and congressional district; lays out trends in Latino voting patterns over the last several years; and looks ahead at how Latino voters will impact dozens of close races in 2010. It also analyzes some of the factors that motivate this key segment of the electorate, such as the role of immigration reform in determining voter participation and candidate preference.

The report features a list of forty 2010 “Races to Watch”—battleground House and Senate contests where Latino voters will play a key role—and provides information to help analysts follow the developing story of the Latino vote in the 2010 elections.
