Established in 1968, the Council for the Spanish Speaking (CSS-CA) addresses the social and economic needs of the disadvantaged in San Joaquín County, California. CSS-CA provides legalization and social services to the Hispanic community in the area. CSS-CA also operates two daycare centers for children of migrant and seasonal farmworkers. CSS-CA provides the following services: Latino Mental Health Services, Legal Services for Seniors, Rights of Passage, Prevention/Intervention Alternative, First Offenders Driving Under the Influence, ESL (English-as-a-Second-Language), Immigration, Child Development, Health Care Advocacy Services, and Family Services.
